THE BOAT THAT ROCKED
Set in the swinging ’60s, The Boat That Rocked (also known as Pirate Radio) (2009) is a feel-good, star-studded tribute to the era when rock ’n’ roll was a revolutionary act. Directed by Richard Curtis (Love Actually), this ensemble comedy follows a band of rogue DJs broadcasting 24/7 pop music to millions from a ship anchored in the North Sea—all while a stiff-upper-lip British government tries to sink them.
Featuring a powerhouse ensemble including Philip Seymour Hoffman, Bill Nighy, Rhys Ifans, Nick Frost, and Kenneth Branagh.
It has the Ultimate 60s Soundtrack with over 50 classic tracks from legends like The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, and Jimi Hendrix, capturing the electric spirit of a generation.
See it at 3.00 PM on Sunday 15 March at the Palace Hotel
